Review - Sunday Magazine September 2007 'Bar None'
The look: This stylish waterfront wine and tapas bar is a surprisingly unpretentious magnet for culture vutures. With 22 types of wine available by the glass, it's a beautiful spot for a tipple - day or night.
The Soundtrack: No DJs, but an interesting fusion of contemporary house, funk, jazz and electronic '80s.
Signature drink: Firefly infuses it's own vodka. Try the marshmallow Martini - marshmallow-infused vodka shaken on ice ($15).
I'm hungry!: The extensive menu includes magarita pisaldiere (rustic-style pizza, $10.90) and Peking duck pancakes ($16.90).
The vibe: Oh-so intimate - it seats just 35.
The wow factor: The view of Harbour Bridge, while friendly staff provide full table service.
Best for: Romantic nights out and celebrity spotting. Just minutes from Sydney Theatre Company, you may see the likes of Eric Bana, Cat Blanchett or Hugo Weaving.
