Firefly Tapas and Wine Bar

These guys got the wine bar thing a while back so they have the small-plates-and-glass-of-something routine sorted, operating as they do out of a squeezy kitchen and bar space.

Firefly has a neighbourly, in-the-know atmosphere and is a romantic evening's constitutional from The Rocks. There are notes about each of the wines, about 25 of which are available by the glass. And they have some fine imports, among them a peachy pinot grigio from Italy's far north.

Tapas-style food includes grilled chorizo with chilli, pan-fried haloumi, and five-spice chicken with couscous. It's open through the afternoon and evening so one can sip as the sun sinks below the wharves or linger later.
